There are over 300 students from 6 countries and 15 classrooms participating.
1. What team am I on? - See where you are on the NetGenEd Team Matrix
Take a look at the global partners you will be working with - where are they from?
2. Sit with students who share your same tech trend (or NetGen norm)
If you are interested in being an Assistant Project Manager (APM), let Ms. Allen or Ms. Moorman know
3. In order to meet and begin working with your global partners, you will be joining the Grown Up Digital Ning and the NetGenEd 2010 Wiki
First, let's go over the Flat Classroom guidelines for Citing Personal Information

For the last part of class, please do as many of these things as you need to . . .
Finalize your My Digital Life slide (6 words and an image with correct Creative Commons attribution ) for posting at Six Words on the Digital Life
Create a Google Account for doc sharing, etc. and give your Google Account name to Ms. Allen & Ms. Moorman
Work on your Ning profile (under "My Page")
Find your NetGenEd project partners on the Ning and introduce yourself
Thurs., March 11: Community Participation and Resource Sharing
Part One: Connecting to the NetGenEd Community
1. Sign in to the Grown Up Digital Ning - notice there is now a link from our 21cGL wiki - on the main TOC (top left) under Student Resources
2. Join the NetGenEd 2010 Group
3. Join the ISA Group
4. Respond to any friend requests or messages you have received - check your invites and inbox (top right) and your comment wall (bottom)
5. Search for your project teammates and send them friend requests
6. Sign in to the Flat Classroom Project Wiki (top right)
7. Go to the NetGenEd Wiki and request to "Join this Wiki" (top left) - Ms. Moorman will approve you right away!
8. Find the Topic Wiki for your technology trend - read to see how the page is organized and what is expected
9. Click the edit button (top right corner) to add your name, location, and a link to your Ning profile at the bottom under "Teams"
It should look like this: Honor Moorman, San Antonio, Texas, USA
10. Go to the Team Wiki for your specific topic (for example, A.2, B.4, C.6, D.8, etc.) - read to see how the page is organized and what is expected
11. Click the edit button (top right corner) to add your name, location, and a link to your Ning profile at the bottom under "Team Members"
12. Click the "Discussion" tab at the top of your Team Wiki page, and add a New Post indicating that you will be on Spring Break March 15-19 - include your name, school name, and location in your message
13. Go back to the Grown Up Digital Ning
14. Write a blog post introducing yourself to the online community - Please give your blog post an interesting title (avoid "introduction" or "about me")
If you mention our class, please link to the homepage of the 21cGL wiki; if you mention ISA, please link to the ISA website
Please tag your blog post: isa, introduction, netgened2010 - and any other key word that seems significant
15. If you don't plan to be on the Ning during Spring Break, add a status message to your profile page saying that you're away until March 22nd

Practice bookmarking, tagging, adding description, and sharing to a group
